onewheel_threequarters[CES 2017] Future Motion’s Onewheel+ ups the ante this time as a premium model, being a one-person transportation device that will help you get around without too much hassle, and in style, too. The Onewheel+ will boast of a totally new motor that sports the breakthrough, patented Hypercore technology that ensures your journey from one point to the other would be quieter and smoother than ever before. Not only that, regardless of which speed it is moving, there will be more torque available to deliver superior hill climbing ability, maxing out at 19MPH.

The Onewheel+ will also boast of the all-new Surestance footpads that merges a CNC-machined hardwood tip and tail kick that deliver 100% sensor coverage. In other words, it has a far less steep learning curve, and is also more comfortable to ride around in. Digital Shaping 2.0 delivers advanced customization so that riders are able to choose from different ride feel and performance characteristics via the Onewheel app.

The included Ultracharger will be able to juice up the state-of-the-art lithium iron phosphate batteries charge in a matter of 20 minutes that will in turn deliver a working range of 5 to 7 miles, depending on the user’s weight as well as gradient of the path traversed.

However, commuting in style does not come cheap at all, and the Onewheel+ with its Ultracharger can be purchased for $1,499 inclusive of shipping and taxes. Delivery of the purchase will commence from February 2017 onward. Those who happen to live across the pond will have to fork out more at €1,699 apiece.
