shovel-knightAs powerful as the PS4 and Xbox One are, all that power would be useless if there are no games for it, right? The same concept applies to smartphones, computers, smartwatches, and so on. You get the drift. That being said, if you are thinking of getting the Nintendo Switch, you will be pleased to learn that Shovel Knight has been confirmed as one of its titles.

To be more specific, the game’s developers have announced two titles for the Switch: Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove and Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment. According to its developer Yacht Club, Treasure Trove is basically Shovel Knight that has been renamed for the Switch. It will see the addition of new campaigns, co-op, and more. Gamers will also have the option of purchasing each campaign as a separate, standalone game on all the platforms that the game is available on.

That being said if you aren’t planning on getting a Switch, not to worry as Yacht Club has announced that the changes they are making will apply across the board. “All owners of Shovel Knight on all platforms will automatically own Shovel Knight:Treasure Trove instead and will continue to get each of the planned free campaigns and features via updates. It will work exactly like how Shovel Knight was updated to include its first campaign addition, Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows. Don’t worry!”

We know the renaming is a bit confusing but Yacht Club has since published an FAQ that you can check out if you’re interested.
