nintendo-switch-skyrimWhen the Nintendo Switch’s reveal trailer launched, Skyrim was spotted running on the console. However for some reason, Bethesda at that time would not (or could not) confirm whether the game would arrive for the console. The good news is that you will have to wonder no more because during Nintendo’s presentation yesterday, Skyrim has been confirmed.

During the presentation, Bethesda’s Todd Howard made an appearance in a video in which he announced the game. “We love to make games and worlds for you to get lost in, that you can make your own, and never want to put down. Now you don’t have to–now you can play Skyrim wherever you want. What’s really exciting is that all of us at Bethesda can work with Nintendo … The Switch is classically Nintendo yet also all-new.”

Unfortunately there is no release date yet for the Switch version of Skyrim, but hopefully we won’t have to wait too long for it. Also interestingly enough there was no mention as to whether the version launching for the Switch is the original that was released back in 2011, or if it will the Special Edition version with updated graphics.

We’re hoping that it will be the latter but the fact that it was not mentioned is making us think that maybe that isn’t the case, but hopefully more details will be revealed soon.
