If you’re sick and tired of all your electronic gadgets being a boring and somber black, you’ll be pleased to learn that Sony has officially announced that they will be launching a Glacier White PS4 Slim that will be released on the 24th of January. The new PS4 Slim finish will also apply to the console’s controllers, so fret not if you’re hoping for a matching set.

The console will also ship with a 500GB hard drive, but if you want more we guess you’re out of luck, at least as far as the Glacier White finish is concerned, although it seems that Japan will be given the 500GB and 1TB options. We should point out that the Glacier White option appears to be only for the PS4 Slim so for now there does not appear to be a Glacier White version of the PS4 Pro.

Given that this is pretty much just a new coat of paint, which we have to say looks pretty good as it looks very clean and sleek, don’t expect there to be any hardware changes under the hood. Also while pricing is not mentioned, it’s pretty much a guarantee that it will cost the same as the regular PS4 Slim, so you don’t have to worry about potentially having to pay more just for a fresh coat of paint.
