splatoon-2One of the games announced for the Nintendo Switch is Splatoon 2, the sequel to the original game. However it was not announced as to when the game will be released, but we know that it will not be launched alongside the console which is set for the 3rd of March. Now thanks to a game retailer, a possible date has been revealed.

This is according to a listing by GAME UK who according to their listing on their website, has set the game’s release for the 18th of August, 2017. Now it is possible that GAME has put a placeholder date on its website, but we have to say that 18th of August is a pretty specific date as placeholders tend to list the end of the month.

Nintendo had previously stated that the game would be coming out in the summer but they did not specify any dates. However the 18th of August is still considered the summer in the US so we guess technically it could be right. Either way it is a bit of a bummer that gamers have to wait until then to get the game.

Like we said the Switch is set for a release in March and apart from Breath of the Wild and the 1-2 Switch, there aren’t many games available for the console at launch that could hamper its adoption, but hopefully that won’t be the case.
