We’re sure that you guys have come across logos used by companies that look like logos belonging to other companies. Sometimes it’s really just a coincidence and an accident because the current method to search for trademarked designs is long, tedious, and rather inefficient, which is where TrademarkVision comes in.

TrademarkVision is a company that plans to use AI to help prevent design plagiarism. How does it work? Basically you submit the image that you are trying to trademark and with the help of AI and the cross-checking on multiple databases, the software will be able to use deep learning to try and match your logo with other logos that might have already been registered.

This is similar to Google’s reverse image search, except like we said, it will incorporate the use of deep learning and AI to help make its search better and smarter. This could help in patent cases in the future where you can try and search for similarly designed patents to help prevent yourself from being subject to patent lawsuits.

The company’s founder, Sandra Mau, also envisions a future in which companies could use their technology to help look for counterfeit products that are being sold online, which could help crack down on the number of fakes being sold on the internet.
