Twitter is hard at work inking new deals that help it establish itself as a major player in the live streaming market. We’ve already seen the company live stream sporting events, presidential debates, red carpet pre-shows, and more. It has confirmed today that courtesy of a new partnership with dick clark productions, Twitter will stream more red carpet pre-shows in 2017.

The two companies will now work together to bring pre-show programming from the red carpet exclusively to the micro-blogging service. Twitter is going to live stream the red carpet pre-shows for the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards, 2017 Billboard Music Awards, and 2017 American Music Awards this year.

Twitter also confirmed a new deal with Tubefilter and dick clark productions to live stream the 7th Annual Streamy Awards which will take place later this year in the fall. The two companies have previously worked together to bring the red carpet show from the Golden Globes this year to the social network. More than 2.7 million users watched the proceedings live on Twitter.

As we’ve seen with other red carpet events, Twitter’s live stream will feature hosts that will interact with the celebrities walking the red carpet and will ask them questions sent in by users on Twitter. The live streams will be open to Twitter users and non-users alike online and the social network will sell TV commercial-style advertisements against the content as well.
