It was first reported a couple of weeks back that Microsoft was developing a Game Mode for Windows 10. As the name suggests, this mode is going to improve gaming performance on Windows 10-powered machines. The company later confirmed Game Mode and also revealed some more details about it. The Windows 10 Game Mode has now been released to Insiders and they can try it out today.

Members of the Windows 10 Insiders Program can now try out the Windows 10 Game Mode in the latest 15019 beta build. The idea with this feature is to enable users to play their games with “the best possible experience.”

As is the case with beta software, Microsoft has warned that there might be a few bugs in this release. The company has confirmed that its latest Windows 10 build has a “few platform related bugs, unrelated to the new features included within the build, that are impacting the ability to play some popular games.”

Folks who are members of the Insiders Program should keep this in mind when they’re trying out the new feature. Windows 10 Game Mode basically squeezes as much performance as it can out of the system to optimize a game’s frame rate. Microsoft is going to release this feature to everybody with the Windows 10 Creators Update that’s due in a couple of months.
