These days with internet being as fast as it is, it’s actually quite rare where you come across a YouTube video and you’re greeted with the spinning dots that indicates that the video is loading. That being said instead of the dots, it seems that YouTube could be testing out a new animation, according to a recent tweet by @imnagateja that was reported by Android Police.

As you can see in the video clip above, instead of the familiar (or dreaded) circling dots, an animation of a castle being built is shown. It doesn’t actually change the fact that the video is loading and it doesn’t seem to do anything either, so in reality this is merely a change of animation on YouTube’s end.

We’re not sure why they chose the castle and what it’s supposed to signify, but we guess it is rather refreshing to see something different. It should be noted that this isn’t the first time the castle animation has been spotted. Android Police claims that it has been showing for several weeks now, but more users are starting to report that they are seeing it.

We are not seeing the castle loading animation ourselves so we’re not sure if it could be a region-specific feature or if YouTube is still rolling out gradually, but either way what do you guys think?
