Apple’s iPhones have never been known to be cheap. In fact Apple’s iPhones are probably some of the most expensive smartphones available in the market today, and it seems that 2017’s iPhone won’t be any different. In fact according to the latest rumors, Apple’s 2017 iPhone will be more expensive than ever.

According to a report from Fast Company, they have heard from a source who has “knowledge of Apple’s plans” that 2017’s iPhone could cost upwards of $1,000. Of course this is for the rumored iPhone 8 Plus model which is said to sport a larger screen, an OLED display, and presumably a dual camera lens like we saw in the iPhone 7 Plus.

There is also rumored features such as wireless charging, and a brand new design that will eschew the home button in favor of a fingerprint sensor that lives underneath the screen. Now we know that existing iPhone models can go close to $1,000 when you go for the most high-end option, such as the 256GB iPhone 7 Plus which costs $969, but going beyond $1,000 is getting a bit out of hand.

Naturally we can only imagine that there will be many who will be upset by this price hike if it is true, but until the iPhone is released and the sales figures are in, it’s hard to say how Apple’s customers will react.
