It is safe to say that Amazon is currently one of the default platforms that people choose when they do their shopping online. This is because of various perks and features that Amazon offers to its customers, as well as its wide selection. However Walmart is trying to compete and they have recently offered up new shipping options.

To better compete, it looks like Amazon will be bringing the price down for its free shipping minimum. About a year ago, Amazon raised their 2-day free shipping minimum to $49 for non-Prime members. This means that if you don’t have a Prime subscription and you wanted free 2-day shipping, you’d have to buy at least $49 worth of products.

In some cases this might not necessarily be ideal, but like we said in response to Walmart’s new shipping options, Amazon over the weekend dropped the price back down $35. This means that you’ll only have to spend $35 or more to qualify for free 2-day shipping if you are a non-Prime member. Note that these changes have not affected books which remains the same at a minimum of $25.

So if you’ve been meaning to make some purchases but felt that spending $49 in order to qualify for free 2-day shipping was a bit too expensive for your liking, hopefully these changes will change your mind.
