The ASUS ZenFone 3 Zoom was released in Taiwan last week and the company was supposed to release this handset in the United States in the first quarter of this year. However, the company has now confirmed that it has delayed the ZenFone 3 Zoom U.S. release. Those who were waiting for this handset to arrive in the United States will now have to wait some more now before they are able to purchase the ZenFone 3 Zoom. ASUS says it has a good reason for this delay.

The company confirmed the ZenFone 3 Zoom U.S. release delay in reply to a query from a fan on its Facebook page. ASUS said that this delay will enable it to “rework” the ZenFone 3 Zoom which basically means that the company is going to improve the handset’s specifications before it releases it in the United States.

ASUS is yet to confirm precisely what it’s going to change in the reworked ZenFone 3 Zoom, whether it’s going to be the handset’s Snapdragon 625 processor, its 5.5 inch full HD display or its dual rear camera.

The company previously said that the ZenFone 3 Zoom would be released in the United States in the first quarter of 2017 for $399. It hasn’t confirmed whether it’s going to receive a price increase as well when the ZenFone 3 Zoom finally arrives in the second quarter of this year.
