If you pre-order The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Master Edition from Amazon, you might want to check your email and your order status. This is because according to reports, Amazon has been cancelling some pre-orders for the Master Edition copy of the game for some of their customers.

Apparently this is due to a supply issue and according to an email sent to customers who were affected by the pre-order, “We’re unable to fulfill your order for the item(s) listed above because they aren’t available from the supplier any longer. As a result, we’ve cancelled them from your order and your original payment method won’t be charged.”

We’re not sure who’s to blame here: Amazon for taking more orders than they should, or Nintendo for maybe overestimating how many units of the Master Edition that they intended to produce. In any case it looks like some customers are flat out of luck. However the good news is that to make up for the snafu, Amazon has credited affected customers $10 which can be used for future purchases.

It is unclear as to exactly how many pre-orders were affected by this, but we guess if you were one of the affected customers, you’ll have to start looking elsewhere if you really wanted to get your hands on the Master Edition copy of the game.
