Recently it was speculated that Doomfist could be Overwatch’s next character. This is thanks to references that have been spotted in the game, as well as actor Terry Crews who seemed to be dropping hints that he could be voicing the character as well. Unfortunately for gamers that might not necessarily be the case.

According to a recent post on the Overwatch forums (via IGN), the game’s director Jeff Kaplan seemed to suggest that Doomfist might not be the game’s next playable character. Kaplan recently replied to a comment by one of Overwatch’s gamers and wrote, “24 is not who you think it is.”

Of course Kaplan does not confirm that what we are thinking is Doomfist, but given that this seems to be the general consensus it’s safe to assume that’s who he might be referring to. According to the folks at Eurogamer, they have another possible candidate in mind in the form of a character codenamed “Greek”.

Voice actor Alex Malaos recently updated (and later removed) his CV in which he listed his next gig as doing voice acting work for a character with that name, which has led to speculation that maybe this “Greek” character could be next. Either way we guess we’ll have to wait and find out, so stay tuned for more updates.
