The other day it was rumored that Facebook was working on a dedicated video app for Apple TV, and it turns out that the rumors were true because according to an announcement on Facebook’s website, the company has confirmed that they are working on a dedicated video app for TVs.

This app won’t just be limited/exclusive to the Apple TV, but it is expected to find its way onto other platforms as well. This includes the Amazon Fire TV and Samsung’s Smart TVs, so if you own any of these devices you should be able to get your hands on the video app. This expands on Facebook’s video efforts in which last year, they allowed users to stream Facebook videos to your TV.

According to Facebook’s announcement, “With the app, you can watch videos shared by friends or Pages you follow, top live videos from around the world, and recommended videos based on your interests. You can also catch up on videos you’ve saved to watch later, as well as revisit videos you’ve watched, shared or uploaded.”

This announcement was also made alongside another announcement in which Facebook revealed that it will now start to autoplay videos with sound on your News Feed as you scroll past them.
