At the moment Capcom’s Resident Evil 7 VR mode is only available to gamers on the PS4 who own the PlayStation VR. It is unclear if Capcom will eventually add support to other headsets like the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive, but the good news is that thanks to this post on Reddit, gamers will be able to play the game in VR on their PCs.

Now before you get too excited, it will require gamers to own a headset of sorts, such as the Google Cardboard. There is no mention of the Oculus Rift or HTC Vive, so owners of these headsets will still be out of luck. Also as the original poster danhorus points out, this is an extremely detailed process and you might need to be a bit tech savvy to pull it off.

If you don’t think that you’re that type of gamer, then we guess you’ll have to pass on this for now. However if you are interested, you’ll be able to find the full set of instructions on Reddit. However as is the case with all unofficial hacks and tweaks, you’ll want to be extra careful when going about it.

This means that you’ll want to do your research, find out what all the software and tools do for your PC, and make sure to read all the instructions so that you don’t mess up halfway as sometimes that can have rather disastrous consequences.
