If you’re looking to get your next fix of new Hearthstone cards, you might be pleased to learn that Blizzard has announced the first Hearthstone expansion for 2017 in the form of “Journey to Un’Goro”. For those who are unfamiliar, the Un’Goro Crater is a zone in the World of Warcraft where Blizzard hid quite a few movie and video game references in.

That being said, Journey to Un’Goro will be the first new expansion for Hearthstone in 2017. It will be introducing 135 new cards to the game, which is part of Blizzard’s new strategy for Hearthstone moving forward, where instead of a mixture of Adventures and Expansions, Blizzard will be focusing purely on releasing new expansions and a bevy of new cards and spells that players can craft their decks with.

As expected there will be some changes made to the mechanics of the game in the form of “Adapt”, which according to Blizzard, “The new Adapt keyword allows a minion to become infused with elemental power, granting it new properties.” There will be 10 total Adaptations that players can choose from, thus giving them a variety of ways to respond to their opponent’s play.

As for a release date, Journey to Un’Goro will be released in early April. According to recent calculations, players who are looking to spend real money on cards in Hearthstone can expect to fork out as much as $670 this year.
