HTC recently confirmed that it would soon launch its new premium smartphones in India. The HTC U Ultra and U Play were both launched first earlier this year and the company is now gradually bringing them to other markets across the globe. Today, at an event in New Delhi, the company confirmed the HTC U Ultra and U Play price and release date in India.

The HTC U Ultra features a 5.7 inch Quad HD display which is accompanied by a 2 inch secondary touchscreen display. It’s powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor.

On the other hand, the HTC U Play features a 5.2 inch full HD display, doesn’t have a secondary display, and is powered by a MediaTek Helio P10 processor. Both handsets have a pretty similar metal and glass build, USB Type-C ports, and both don’t feature a standard 3.5mm headphone jack.

HTC U Ultra and U Play come with the Sense Companion software baked in which uses artificial intelligence to learn more about user habits and offer intelligent suggestions. The company will certainly be hoping that this is one of the features that sets it apart from the competition.

HTC has confirmed that the U Ultra is going to be available in India starting March 6 for Rs. 59,990 or $895 while the U Play will arrive by mid-March and will carry a price tag of 39,990 or $597. Both handsets will be available in black, blue, pink, and white colors.
