lg-g5_hands-on_06Come MWC 2017, LG will be taking the wraps off the LG G6, the company’s next flagship smartphone. However could LG have other devices up their sleeves? It is possible that could be the case because according to recent trademark filings, LG has filed for the trademark for at least two LG G6 variants.

These trademark filings, the devices that LG has trademarked include the “LG G6 Compact” as well as the “LG G6 Lite”. There are other trademarks such as the G6 Hybrid, G6 Fit, G6 Sense, G6 Young, G6 Forte, G6 Prix, but out of all of them we reckon the G6 Compact and Lite sound the most interesting.

Based on what we know of “Compact” and “Lite” variants that have been launched in the past, there’s a good chance that these are basically toned down versions of the LG G6. They might sport a similar design or might be based off on similar specs, but they could be smaller and less powerful, and also potentially carry a cheaper price tag which means that they could be aimed at the more budget-conscious shopper.

We’re not sure if these phones will be unveiled at MWC 2017 in which it could distract from the LG G6, but we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled for more information regarding these devices.
