According to a report earlier this week, it was rumored that Apple is planning on hosting an event in March in which new iPads (and a new iPhone color) is expected to be announced. Typically what happens following these events is that Apple will release the announced product a couple of weeks later.

However that might not necessarily be the case here. According to a report from DigiTimes (via 9to5Mac), it seems that two of Apple’s iPads might only be released in May or June. The iPads in question are the 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch models. In case you haven’t been following the rumors, Apple apparently has a new 10.5-inch iPad in the works.

What this means is that if you wanted a new iPad, then either you wait until May or June, or you’ll have to settle for the 9.7-inch model, although we’re not sure if the 10.5-inch iPad will end up replacing the 9.7-inch model, especially since the difference in size isn’t that big compared to the 7.9-inch iPad mini, the 9.7-inch iPad/iPad Pro, and the 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

It is unclear as to why Apple might delay the release of the iPads, or why release them so late if they’re going to announce them so early, but either way take it with a grain of salt, but hopefully we’ll have the official details soon. In the meantime Apple has yet to set an official date for their rumored event in March.
