Tag Heuer already released one smartwatch about a year ago and the company’s CEO Jean-Claude Biver did say a few weeks ago that another Tag Heuer Connected smartwatch is going to be launched this year. He didn’t provide too many details about the smartwatch but according to a new report, the new Tag Heuer smartwatch is going to arrive next month.

AndroidCentral claims to have heard from people familiar with the matter that the Tag Heuer Connected Modular is going to be launched on March 14th, 2017 and that it’s going to have several unique features which are going to make it standard out from the Android Wear 2.0 crowd.

The Tag Heuer Connected Modular smartwatch is reportedly going to feature fully customizable lugs with a choice of straps and clasps to suit customers’ personal style. It may even have a custom automatic watch head module which enables users to switch between the Android Wear 2.0 smartwatch display and a more conventional automatic movement.

Tag Heuer obviously has a lot of heritage as a luxury watchmaker that it can rely on and leverage to push its unique smartwatch in the market. A watch that’s able to double as a conventional timepiece and a smartwatch may appeal to customers who want the best of both worlds.

Nothing has been officially confirmed as yet, though, so we should probably wait until next month before forming an opinion about the new Tag Heuer smartwatch.
