We’ll get to see some amazing new commercials during Super Bowl 51 this Sunday. We know that Google is going to spend $5 million to air a 30-second spot about the Google Home. Nintendo is going to capitalize on the biggest TV event of the year as well to push its very own commercial that’s going to promote its next-generation gaming console, the Nintendo Switch. The console provides a glimpse at the many ways you can play games on the Switch.

The Nintendo Super Bowl commercial is a first for the company, according to Nintendo itself, and it also mentions that this is going to air in the fourth quarter of the game. The televised version of this commercial is posted above.

As previously mentioned, the Nintendo Super Bowl commercial aims to highlight the many ways you can play games on the Switch console. It can either be on the couch with friends during a lazy afternoon or with the entire family in the living room. It will even enable users to squeeze in quick gaming sessions between college classes.

Nintendo Switch is unlike PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It can double as a handheld and a docked console so owners will get the best of both worlds. It’s a good decision by Nintendo to air a commercial for its latest console during the big game as the console will go on sale not too long after that. Nintendo Switch will be available starting March 3rd for $299.
