Do you have a habit of locking your PC whenever you leave your desk? Do you find it a pain to punch in your passcode every time you come back? If you’d like a simpler way of unlocking your Windows 10 PC then make sure you have a compatible Galaxy smartphone. According to a new report, Samsung will soon enable users of compatible Galaxy smartphones to unlock any Windows 10 PC.

This will reportedly be made possible by Samsung Flow. It’s a Windows 10 app which lets Galaxy TabPro S owners unlock their tablet using a compatible smartphone’s fingerprint reader. The app only works with the Galaxy TabPro S right now but given that it makes life very easy, PC users are calling on Samsung to support all Windows 10 PCs with it.

Samsung has confirmed that it’s going to release the app for non-Samsung Windows 10 PCs in the coming months. This was confirmed by Samsung support in response to a customer question about the availability of Samsung Flow for non-Samsung Windows 10 PCs. The support representative confirmed that Samsung Flow would be released for all PCs after the next major Windows 10 update – the Creators Update – is released by Microsoft in April this year.

The app will enable any and all Windows 10 users to unlock their computers using a compatible Galaxy smartphone’s fingerprint sensor. The app also lets users check smartphone notifications, transfer content, reply to notifications, and share app activity from the paired smartphone.
