The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 is expected to come with a brand new voice assistant that is rumored to be called Bixby, which last we heard is apparently based off on Samsung’s existing voice assistant, S Voice. Presumably we’ll learn more about Bixby at the Galaxy S8 event, but in the meantime Samsung might have given away some clues.

According to a recent trademark filing, it seems that Samsung has registered for the trademark “Bixby Reminder”. While the trademark doesn’t really dive into detail as to what we can expect from the feature, the name itself is pretty much a dead giveaway for what we can only assume will be Bixby being able to set reminders via the user’s voice.

This is exactly a killer feature since pretty much all voice assistants can already help their users set reminders using their voice, but given that we know almost nothing about Bixby, every little bit of information helps. Presumably this feature will also be able to manage the user’s calendars and events, maybe set alarms, and so on.

There is no date yet for when Samsung will announce the Galaxy S8, but we heard that a date could be revealed at MWC 2017 which takes place towards the end of the month, so do check back with us later for the details if there are any to be had.
