Google may have confirmed the release of Android Wear 2.0 last month and brought it to market with two new smartwatches called the LG Watch Style and LG Watch Sport but it’s yet to roll it out for existing smartwatches. That’s changing today. It has has been confirmed which are the three existing Android Wear smartwatches that are now receiving the much-awaited Android Wear 2.0 update.

Google was actually going to release Android Wear 2.0 late last year but it decided to delay the release because it felt that more time was required to polish the update. It released it on February 8th alongside two new smartwatches from LG.

A Google Community Manager has confirmed on the official Android Wear support page that the Android Wear 2.0 update is first rolling out to the Tag Heuer Connected, Fossil Q Founder, and Casio Smart Outdoor Watch wearable devices.

The community manager further added that the Android Wear 2.0 update is rolling out starting today for these handsets and that it will land on all devices by no later than April 4th.

The Huawei Watch was also expected to be one of the first to receive this update, it was said to get this update in March, but Google’s list doesn’t include this smartwatch at this point in time. So it may be a while before Android Wear 2.0 is released for Huawei Watch owners.
