If you’re in the market for a new tablet, you might be interested to learn that ASUS might have a new tablet in the works. This is according to a recent sighting on GFXBench (via The Android Soul) in which a mysterious ASUS tablet was spotted running Android 7.0 Nougat, leading some to believe that this could be a new device that has yet to be announced.

According to the benchmarks, the tablet in question is sporting a 9.6-inch 2048×1536 display and under the hood, a dodeca-core chipset can be found clocked at 2.1GHz. It will come with an Imagination Technologies PowerVR Rogue GX6250 GPU, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a 7MP rear-facing camera along with a 4.7MP front-facing camera.

The specs seem to suggest that this is a mid-high end tablet, although we’re not sure which lineup it could fall under. In any case it might be too soon to tell what tablet this is or when ASUS will be launching it, however we should point out that sometimes benchmarks can be wrong, or sometimes companies use it to test out devices that may or may not make the final cut.

There is also the possibility that the specs could change upon the final release, but either way if a 9.6-inch Android tablet is something you might be interested in, we’ll be keeping an eye out for more details.
