Bungie confirmed the much-awaited Destiny 2 earlier this week and it has since been providing us with more information about the title. It even released a teaser trailer for the game yesterday. Bungie has confirmed some major news about the new game today and it has also published the first proper trailer for Destiny 2. Bungie has even confirmed when it’s going to release the title.

Earlier today, Bungie confirmed that Destiny 2 is going to be released for PC as well. The first game was only released for previous-gen and current-gen consoles so it’s good to see that it’s finally bringing PC gamers into the loop as well.

The Destiny 2 trailer that has been released today doesn’t really show much of the gameplay, I suspect the first gameplay trailer won’t arrive before E3 2017, but it does provide more information about the game’s world and story.

“You will venture to mysterious, unexplored worlds of our solar system to discover an arsenal of weapons and devastating new combat abilities,” explains Bungie, adding that “To defeat the Red Legion and confront Ghaul, you must reunite humanity’s scattered heroes, stand together, and fight back to reclaim our home.”

Destiny 2 is going to be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game is available for pre-order right now and a beta is expected to go live this summer. Bungie will show more of the game on May 18th when it conducts the first hands-on gameplay reveal live stream.

The Destiny 2 release date is September 8th.
