Microsoft confirmed yesterday that it’s going to start rolling out the free Windows 10 Creators Update from April 11th. Since it’s going to be a phased roll out, it’s going to take a few weeks before the update is released for users across all regions. Those who just can’t wait for the over-the-air release have another option. Microsoft has said today that it will allow users to download Windows 10 Creators Update manually starting April 5th.

This means that those who aren’t afraid of putting in some extra work to get the new software will get it a full week before Microsoft starts rolling it out over-the-air.

Microsoft confirmed through a post on its official blog today that it will be possible to download Windows 10 Creators Update manually using the Update Assistant from April 5th.

Anyone who has a licensed version of Windows 10 will be able to use this method to get on the latest version of Windows 10. The process will require users to download the update’s ISO file from Microsoft’s server and then mount it using the File Explorer to run the installer.

Those who don’t want to wait for this can look forward to April 11th when Microsoft starts rolling it out for newer PCs first before making it available to older devices. Windows 10 Creators Update for Windows Phone will be rolled out starting April 25th.
