Fossil recently said that it would release the Android Wear 2.0 update for compatible smartwatches by mid-March. The company is following through on that promise as it has started rolling out said update for its smartwatches. The roll out may have started today but it’s going to pick up the pace in the coming days.

Fossil is aiming to have the update on all compatible smartwatches by the end of this month. All of the existing Android Wear devices that Fossil has in its lineup are going to receive the Android Wear 2.0 update.

This also includes the Q Wander, Q Marshal, and Q Founder 2.0 smartwatches. Fossil has also confirmed that this update will be making its way to the original Q Founder smartwatch as well.

Android Wear 2.0 brings a handful of new features to compatible smartwatches, features such as an on-device Play Store client, better customization options, more watch face selections, an improved notifications experience, and more.

Fossil confirmed on Twitter that it has started the Android Wear 2.0 release and that it’s going to hit the first-generation devices initially. It’s going to gradually roll it out to users in all markets and expects to be done with this exercise by the end of this month.
