The LG G6 was officially announced at MWC 2017 and so far the initial reviews of the handset have been largely positive. This is despite the fact that LG appears to have switched courses completely and abandoned the modular system that they introduced with the LG G5, although we’re guessing that maybe this was a good thing.

That being said, a report from ZDNet Korea (via The Android Soul) has revealed that bookings of the LG G6 in Korea have been going pretty well as it has been reported that we’re looking at 40,000 bookings over the course of 4 days. However it has been suggested that maybe those numbers were achieved largely thanks to LG Korea who offered about 450,000 Won worth of free accessories and goodies with the purchase of the handset.

In case you’re hearing about this for the first time, here’s a quick recap on the specs of the phone. With the LG G6, LG has gone with a 5.7-inch QHD+ display, but what makes it unique is the aspect ratio in which LG seems to have opted for an 18:9 display, which they claim is better for pretty much everything.

We’re also looking at a quad-DAC for those who prioritize audio quality, as well as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset with 4GB of RAM, 32-64GB of storage, dual 13MP rear-facing cameras, a 5MP front-facing camera, and a 3,300mAh battery with Android 7.0 Nougat running the show.
