LG’s new flagship smartphone is off to a good start. After the company received more than 40,000 pre-orders for the device in South Korea, the first day of retail availability in the country saw more than 20,000 units being sold. The company is gradually going to release this device in more markets across the globe. It has finally confirmed the LG G6 Canada release date and it’s the same date that we’ve been hearing about for the U.S. release of the LG G6.

The company has confirmed that the LG G6 release in Canada is going to take place on April 7th. It has also confirmed that customers in Canada will be able to get their pre-orders in starting Wednesday, March 15th. That’s tomorrow.

The LG G6 will be available on Bell, Fido, Eastlink, Freedom Mobile, Koodo Mobile, Telus, Rogers, SasTel, Videotron, and Virgin Mobile in Canada. The carriers will confirm their own pricing details. LG hasn’t confirmed pricing for the unlocked version.

The LG G6 is also going to be available from a handful of retailers at launch, the retailers include Tbooth wireless, Best Buy Mobile, Costco Canada, Wirelesswave, and Wow! Mobile Boutique.

Multiple reports have suggested that the LG G6 release date for USA is April 7th. Now that the company has confirmed that it’s going to release the handset in Canada on April 7th, there’s a very good chance that it’s going to confirm this release date for the U.S. market as well in the very near future.
