LG released its Music Flow speakers back in 2015 and they were among the first one the market to have support for Google’s Cast platform. However, the company hasn’t really added any new features to this product since then. Many customers wanted the company to add support for Google Home and multi-room audio. It kept them waiting but confirmed in January this year that the Music Flow Google Home and multi-room audio update will arrive by the end of February. While it missed the deadline, LG has finally released the update today.

Google actually allowed manufacturers of Cast-enabled devices to add multi-room audio support to their products last year but LG didn’t say anything about its plans of adding the same feature to Music Flow. It didn’t take long for Sony to do the same thing for its multi-room system and it even confirmed that Google Home support would arrive soon as well.

LG announced in January that it would soon release a new firmware update for the Music Flow speakers which would bring Google Home and multi-room audio support. It promised to have the update out by the end of February but we all know that’s not what happened.

Music Flow owners were certainly waiting for the update to arrive and they will be happy to know that their wait ends today. LG really is sending out the update today so users can finally take advantage of the multi-room audio feature as well as use the grouping feature in the Google Home app.
