There’s some good news today for those who spent their money on Ubisoft’s The Division. The game has been out for quite some time now on consoles and PC. The initial experience wasn’t as good but Ubisoft has worked hard to improve things and it’s now focusing on the expansions to provide more to those who like playing this game. The Division creative director Julian Gerighty has confirmed that the two new The Division DLCs will be free for all players.

Gerighty confirmed this to Game Rant, revealing that there will be two new expansions for The Division which will be released in the next 12 months. “We are looking to reengage the players in light of the first year celebration for The Division,” he said, confirming that “We will be delivering two separate expansion packs for the game free to everybody in the next 12 months.”

He didn’t reveal much about the new expansions but it’s known that the first one is due this summer. It’s unclear what the expansion will be called but Gerighty suggests that it’s going to rewards players in some way for spending time in the game. It will also add an events structure which will reward players for participating in various activities.

We’ll get to know more about the next two free DLCs for The Division in the coming months so stay tuned.
