Driving and listening to music are things that go hand in hand, but the idea of having to switch between navigational apps like Waze and your music app isn’t always a very good idea and it can be distracting, or especially if you need the directions and you can’t really spare a minute to stop navigating to switch apps.

The good news is that problem will be a thing of the past, especially if you use both Waze and Spotify’s services. This is because Waze has announced that they entering into a partnership with Spotify in which Spotify’s playlists will now be integrated into Waze’s app. This means that you will be able to access your playlists within Waze’s app itself and will no longer have to deal with app switching, which while driving is probably a bad idea anyway.

It also works the other way around because it seems that users will be able to navigate with Waze from within Spotify’s app, and vice versa. Users will also be able to seamlessly swap between apps when their car has come to a complete stop. Users can also set it up in such a way that their music can automatically begin playing once their journey begins.

At the moment it seems that only Spotify is supported so if you’re using another streaming service like Apple Music, Tidal, Pandora, and so on, we guess you’re out of luck for now, but who knows what the future could bring?
