#IFA2017 – When Samsung first took the wraps off the very first Galaxy Note handset, they did it at IFA. While the company still did reveal the Note series of handsets at IFA, the Note 7 in 2016 was actually revealed ahead of the event at Samsung’s own choosing. So the question is, will the Note 8 see Samsung return to IFA?

According to a report from The Korea Times, they quote IFA Executive Director Jens Heithecker who stated that he expects that Samsung will unveil the Note 8 at the event. We should point out that this seems to be just the opinion of Heithecker as opposed to a rumor or leaked information, but his reasoning makes sense.

Heithecker was quoted as saying, “My personal perspective is that IFA would be the better place (to unveil the new Note smartphone). The big advantage is that we have a lot of media and journalists from all around the world in Berlin. It is not possible to bring them all together in other cities wherever it is, in August. That’s our offer.”

Whether or not that will be happening remains to be seen, but what we do know is that Samsung has confirmed that there will be a Note 8, so the only question is when can we expect it, but either way an August/September timeframe doesn’t seem like much of a stretch.
