Despite the snafu that was the Galaxy Note 7 in 2016 and what with everyone spelling doom and gloom for Samsung, it seems that customers are more than willing to give the South Korean tech giant a second chance because according to the numbers, the Galaxy S8 is seeing some pretty insane pre-order numbers ever since it opened up on the 7th of April.

According to the numbers, it seems that the Galaxy S8 has managed to cross the 550,000 mark in its first two days of being available for pre-order. Note that this is just for the South Korean market alone, which means that if we were to combine the numbers from other markets we should be seeing some pretty wild figures.

To give you guys some context, the Galaxy S7’s pre-orders last year is said to be about 5.5 times less than the Galaxy S8 within two days, while the Note 7 was about 400,000 units, so safe to say that the Galaxy S8 is on track to becoming Samsung’s best-selling handset to date, and rightfully so when you consider its specs, features, and its design.

The handset is expected to be made officially available later this month, so the question is will you be picking one up for yourself? Or have you already placed your pre-order for it?
