Google Assistant makes it very easy to perform a wide variety of tasks using just voice commands. The ability to create shopping lists is one such feature. You can just tell Google Assistant the item that you want on your shopping list and it will add that to the list. Previously, the lists were stored in Google Keep but this is going to change soon. Shopping lists made via the Google Assistant will no longer be said in Google Keep starting April 10th.

A support page on Google’s website reveals that shopping lists created in Google Assistant will be moved from Google Keep to the Google Home and Express apps. This will also be true for all new lists created after the aforementioned date.

It makes more sense to store the lists in the Google Home and Express apps given that they will enable users in supported markets to easily order and track delivery of the items on their list. Those who don’t want to have their lists migrated automatically from Keep after April 10th, they should delete them manually from Keep.

After April 10th, items added to shopping lists using Google Assistant will only be available for viewing in the Express and Home apps. Tap on the list icon to bring them up.
