Back towards the end of March, Blizzard announced their plans to revamp their MOBA Heroes of the Storm in the form of version 2.0. The game will still play roughly the same, but Blizzard will be instituting some major changes under the hood that will hopefully result in a better overall experience.

For those who are curious about the changes, you’ll be pleased to learn that Blizzard has since released a major patch for the game that basically makes Heroes of the Storm 2.0 live! Gamers who are interested can fire up the game and take it for a spin, and also in case you forgot, logging in from now until the 22nd of May will result in 100 gems which basically allows gamers to redeem 20 heroes for free, so you’ll probably want to take advantage of that.

The patch will also see the introduction of Overwatch’s Genji into the game, so if you’re looking for more Overwatch characters to play around with in Heroes of the Storm, you’ll have one more to add to the list. The patch will also introduce a new battleground in the form of Hanamura, a new player progression system, progression rewards, new items, and more.

If you’re interested in all the details then you can head on over to Blizzard’s website to check out the patch notes.
