Sony has gradually been bringing over some of the most popular games released years ago for the PlayStation 2 to the PlayStation 4. It has now confirmed the Jak and Daxter PS4 release. The collection of Naughty Dog classics includes Jak and Daxter, Jak II, Jak 3 and Jak X: Combat Racing. All three titles will receive an HD upgrade and will be released for the PlayStation 4 later this year.

Sony has confirmed on the official PlayStation blog that Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy, Jak II, and Jak 3 will all be available for download on the PlayStation 4 later this year via the PlayStation Store.

This will enable longtime fans of the classic franchise as well as new players to experience the exploits of Jak and Daxter as they set out to explore ancient lands and unravel the mysteries of the Precursors.

That’s not all. Jak X: Combat Racing will be coming out for the first time anywhere since it was originally released back in October 2005. It’s also going to be released for the PlayStation 4 later this year.

Players will be able to experience wild vehicular combat in the game’s Adventure and Exhibition modes. The game won’t have any online features but players will be able to battle with friends via splitscreen.

All titles will get 1080p up-rendering and Trophy support. Additional features include Remote Play, Shareplay, and Activity feeds.
