Last year Logitech launched their POP smart buttons which basically allowed users to control a variety of Bluetooth and WiFi connected devices using the button. This means that you don’t need to drill new switches into your wall, and you could literally place these POP buttons anywhere and they would work.

Now for those who are hoping to see more functionality and compatibility, you’ll be pleased to learn that Logitech’s POP smart buttons are now compatible with Apple’s HomeKit platform. This means that users with iOS devices and HomeKit connected devices will be able to use the POP buttons to control them as well.

According to Logitech’s announcement, “With just a push, POP delivers effortless, flexible connected home control for smart lighting, smart locks, thermostats and more. The next generation Logitech POP Smart Button Kit comes with one bridge and one pre-paired smart button, so discovering and controlling your devices with Apple’s Home app is incredibly simple and secure.”

Of course this compatibility does not take away from the fact that these buttons will still work with non-HomeKit devices, so if you’re not an Apple user not to worry as these button will continue to work just fine. The Logitech POP kit is priced at $60 which includes one button and the bridge, and additional buttons will be priced at $40 each.
