Marvel and Netflix have been working together for a couple of years now to create original shows based on the former’s superhero universe. We’ve known for a while now that the two have been working on Marvel’s The Defenders series and today we have more information about it. Netflix has released a teaser trailer for the upcoming series today and it has also confirmed when all episodes are going to be released on the online streaming service.

Marvel’s The Defenders is about a superhero collective that includes Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Danny Rand. All of them have their individual shows on Netflix and will be coming together in The Defenders to fight against an unknown enemy that’s played by Sigourney Weaver.

The teaser trailer that has been released by Netflix today shows the four Defenders in an elevator together before one of them notices that there’s a camera watching them and immediately proceeds to punch it.

The teaser trailer obviously doesn’t reveal anything about the show itself and what the storyline is going to be but at least we get to see four of the Defenders together on screen and hope to see more of them in the near future.

All episodes of Marvel’s The Defenders will be out on Netflix come August 18th.
