There are some consumers who if presented with a free option would always go for that as opposed to paying for it. This is evidenced in music, movies, TV shows, video games, books, and so on. However if you have downloaded the pirated version of Mass Effect: Andromeda, you might want to consider upgrading to the original copy.

This is because according to the folks at DSO Gaming, BioWare has updated the game with the latest Denuvo anti-tampering tech which pirates have yet to figure out how to crack. This means that if you have a pirated copy of the game, you won’t be able to get your hands on the latest patch to the game which includes all kinds of fixes, such as fixes for the animation of the characters in the game.

Apparently it seems that the only reason why pirates were able to quickly crack the game within the first couple weeks of its release was because BioWare had shipped out the game with an old version of Denuvo which had been cracked before. The latest version has yet to be cracked, although we wouldn’t be surprised if pirates were to eventually figure out a way around it.

However in the meantime we guess those who own a pirated copy of the game won’t be able to enjoy the changes and fixes that are part of the latest patch released for the game.
