Amazon offered a Prime exclusive version of the Moto G4 last year. It was offering the handset for $50 off the normal price only to Amazon Prime subscribers but there was a catch. They had to agree to be served ads on the device’s lock screen. Many would have decided to opt into that as long as they were saving $50. Those who did pick up the Amazon Prime exclusive version of the Moto G4 in the United States will now be delighted to find out that this handset is receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update.

This particular variant of the Moto G4 carries model number XT1625 and it was sold in the United States exclusively. The Moto G4 Amazon Prime exclusive version is now getting its Android 7.0 Nougat update.

The handset will receive an over-the-air notification when the update goes live so that owners know that it’s time to start downloading and installing Nougat on their device. The Nougat update for this handset carries software number NPJ25.93-14.

It brings all of the features that are part and parcel of Android 7.0 Nougat, including but not limited to multi-window mode, split-screen mode, customizable Quick Settings, an improved notifications shade, and more.

The Nougat update is now rolling out for the Amazon Prime exclusive Moto G4 and should be available for all users in the United States very soon.
