If you’ve stuck around with one particular platform for many years, there’s a good chance you’ll have downloaded and deleted many apps. Some might have been for just a one time use, others might be because you found a better alternative, but basically you’ve managed to generate quite a collection.
If you’re the sort that loves keeping things organized, then you might be interested to learn that Google is rolling out an updated Play Store with a bunch of filters/sorting options in which you can view your apps. Under “My apps & games”, users will now be able to sort their apps alphabetically, last updated, last used, and by size.
The last used option will no doubt come in handy as it will let users delete apps that they have not used in a long time. So you don’t have to scroll and look at apps manually to see which ones you have not used in a long time. The last updated option is also great for apps that you haven’t updated in a while, or has not been updated in a while by the developer, which sometimes can present as bugs or security risks.
The updated Play Store should already be rolling out to users according to a report from Android Police, but if you don’t see it yet not to worry as those changes should eventually be made available to you.
