If you were hoping against hope that this year’s E3 will see Nintendo host a live press conference at the event, we guess you must be really optimistic because for the past few years, the company has not done anything like that, and unfortunately for fans who are hoping 2017 will be different, you will be disappointed.

Nintendo has recently confirmed that they will not be hosting a live press conference at E3 2017 later in June. Instead the company announced that they will be sharing their plans at a later date, presumably via a Nintendo Direct video or maybe through Treehouse, but either way we guess a live press conference is pretty much off the table.

It will be interesting to see what the company could announce at E3 either way. Given that the Switch has already been launched and we already know what major games that the company has planned for the future, such Super Mario Odyssey and Super Smash Bros., we have to wonder what else Nintendo has planned for their future.

Either way this is something we’ll just have to wait and see for ourselves, so be sure to check back with us later this June for the details. E3 2017 will be held from the 13th to the 15th of June, so mark those dates down.
