AT&T has now confirmed that it will soon start selling the LTE-compatible variant of the Gear S3 classic. Samsung launched the Gear S3 classic and Gear S3 frontier last year and at that time, only the latter had LTE compatibility. Samsung later released a new version of the Gear S3 classic that had LTE support. That version of the smartwatch will be available for purchase in the United States from AT&T starting this Friday.

The Gear S3 classic has a 1.3 inch Super AMOLED round display with 4GB of onboard storage and 768MB of RAM. It has a 380mAh battery. Samsung’s Tizen operating system powers the smartwatch.

The version that’s AT&T is going to sell later this week has support for 4G LTE as well so it will work on the second largest mobile network in the United States.

It also supports AT&T NumberSync, a feature that enables smartwatch owners to use the same number on the wearable device that they do on their smartphone. This means that they can keep in touch even when they don’t have their smartphone paired with the smartwatch.

AT&T will be selling the Gear S3 classic online and in stores starting Friday, May 26th. It can be purchased for $249.99 with a two year agreement or for $17.50 per month for 20 months on the carrier’s installment plan.
