Headphones are designed to pump audio from our devices into our ears, however if you wanted to be able to do more than just listen to music or to watch videos more discreetly, then you might be interested to learn that the folks at Bragi have recently announced two new pairs of headphones in the form of the Dash PRO and Dash PRO tailored by Starkey.

As you can see from the photos and video, the new headphones are in reality more like a pair of wireless earbuds. However despite being so small in size, these earbuds are quite feature rich. This is because they run Bragi’s OS3 platform which will offer up features such as face-to-face translation, a hands-free gesture menu system, and AI that is built right into the earbuds themselves.

This means that instead of merely playing back audio, the earbuds will allow users to interact with it, get real-time translations, and more as the user goes about their day. The version tailored by Starkey (a hearing aid specialist) will also help users get a customized fit. Users will have to visit audiologists who will then make an impression of your ear canal and get a pair of earbuds that have been tailored just for you.

Bragi isn’t the first company to offer up customized earbuds but if you’ve felt that this was a feature/service that was missing, then this should be welcome news. As for pricing, these earbuds don’t come cheap and will be priced at $329 for the Dash PRO, and $499 for the Dash PRO tailored by Starkey.
