Earlier this year in February, Verizon announced that it was soon going to start selling its own Android Wear 2.0-powered smartwatch. Called the Wear24, it’s going to be exclusive to Big Red. The carrier confirmed yesterday when interested customers will be able to buy Verizon Wear24 smartwatch. They can do that starting today.

Verizon kept quiet about the release date for quite some time before finally confirming in April that the smartwatch will be available for purchase in May.

Verizon announced its Wear24 smartwatch the very same day Google announced the launch of Android Wear 2.0 and the two new LG smartwatches that come with it installed out of the box, the LG Watch Style and Sport.

As far as the specifications are concerned, the Verizon Wear24 is similar to the LG Sport. It runs Android Wear 2.0 and has support for 4G LTE, and NFC. The smartwatch is water resistant in up to 3.3 feet of water.

Those who are interested in purchasing one can now do so. Verizon is offering the Watch24 in Stainless Steel, Gunmetal, and Rose Gold colors. It’s only being sold online by Verizon at this point in time. It’s priced at $349.99 for those who want to pay full price. Customers can also purchase it on a two-year contract for $299.99.
