There’s no confirmation about this just yet, but rumor has it that a Call of Duty game for the Nintendo Switch might be in development. The rumor is based on an image posted online by a developer that has previously worked on both a remaster of a Call of Duty title and a platform port. The image suggests that Call of Duty: WWII might be released for the Nintendo Switch.

The image was posted on Twitter by Beenox, which has worked on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Modern Warfare Remastered. The image showed members of the team with representatives of the Canadian Army. The tweet specifically mentioned “COD.”

That’s all there is to go on at this point in time, so as previously mentioned, there’s no official confirmation about anything. It can’t be said with absolute certainty right now that the upcoming Call of Duty title will land on the Nintendo Switch.

It’s not even known at this point in time whether Beenox is going to be working on the PC version of Call of Duty: WWII. It’s still early days so we’ll have to wait for a bit in order to find out what the real story is here.

For all we know, Beenox could have been tasked with developing an entirely new Call of Duty game just for the Nintendo Switch. Let’s see how long it takes before the truth is officially out there.
