Fans of the Darksiders franchise got excited when they found out that a new title was in the pipeline. Darksiders 3 was actually leaked first through an Amazon listing. Nothing had been officially announced by THQ Nordic but the listing suggested that Darksiders 3 was a real thing and that an official announcement might come soon. That has happened today. THQ Nordic has confirmed that Darksiders 3 is going to be released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC next year.

The announcement has been made via an IGN First Reveal. THQ Nordic and Gunfire Games have officially confirmed that Darksiders 3 is being developed and that it’s scheduled to be released in 2018 for the aforementioned platforms.

It’s going to be an open-world action-adventure with an emphasis on exploration and environmental puzzles. Fury is going to be the protagonist in the game.

Darksiders 3 is set around the time as the events of the previous title, Darksiders 2 was released almost five years back, and it follows Fury’s quest to destroy the physical versions of the Seven Deadly Sins.

The confirmation comes after countless rumors, a significant catalogue acquisition, and even a corporate rebrand. It hasn’t exactly been easy, but now it has been confirmed. More information about Darksiders 3 is going to be revealed in the coming months.
